Too big

I was really looking forward to receiving these trousers and wearing them, however the size was about 6 inches too large around the waste and a few inches too long. I ordered a 12 and the sizing was closer to a 16. Unfortunately there weren't any size 10s available so I was unable to get a replacement. I have returned the trousers, which I had to pay for as I bought them on sale which I found annoying considering it was inevitable that they would need to be returned when they were much, much bigger that the stated size.
